The background:

Silvercrow are a south London based, family run property development business with over 100 properties in their portfolio. Their latest project is a small development of bespoke apartments in the heart of Crystal Palace, London. They tasked us with creating a Sylvan Hill logo and sales brochure for the development.

The solution:

We researched the local area, the history of The Crystal Palace, and the name of the development before putting pencil to paper to sketch some concepts.

‘Sylvan” means ‘consisting of or abounding in woods or trees’.

We blending the meaning behind the name of the development with the rich history of just how the area became known as Crystal Palace to create a concept theme. We then adapted the window patterns from the original Crystal Palace building to create an abstract tree crown. Several colours were used in a random pattern to represent the light and shade in a tree canopy.

Elements of the Sylvan Hill logo were then used in the design of a brochure and site hoardings.
